In 2012, The Run 169 Towns Society approached The First Mile with a request that we stage a legitimate timed race in each of the 12 towns in Connecticut that had none. We accepted the challenge and on August 11, 2013 the Hop River 5K in Andover became the first of these. We have welcomed this dedicated group to our race every year since.
