HARTLAND HARVEST RUN presented by Westfield Bank 2018 Results

The weather report for called for heavy rain with wind gusts of up to 50 mph and temps in the high 30s. That was not enough, however, to deter 61 brave souls from coming out to East Hartland to run in the 5th Hartland Harvest Run. And while all runners got soaked to the bone, all crossed the finish line with smiles on their faces, and were rewarded with homemade soup, hot cider, and post-race massages, inside the warm and dry gym at the Bethany Bretheran Lutheran Church.

The first overall finisher was local Hartland runner Ryan Purves in 21:04, followed by Tim O’Shea from Waterbury and Christopher King from Cheshire. The first female finisher was Jeanne LaPierre from North Granby in 24:38, second was Tara Sundie from Winsted and Stephanie Johnson from Hartland.

Thanks to the members of the 169 Society whose support of this race makes it possible to hold it every year.
