The 2nd Annual Race to Feed the Hungry, hosted by the Enfield Montessori School, went off on a picture perfect spring day. The day’s activities started with a Kid’s Fun Run, where 25 future Olympians crossed the finish line; all winners. The 5K Road Race and 2 Mile Walk followed. 
The first 5K finisher was Michael Centore in 18:47, followed by David Einsiedel in 19:07 and 11 year old Zachary Stoddard in 22:26. The first female finisher was Michelle Repass in 23:20. Mackenzie Pappas and Sarah Fearon followed in 2nd and 3rd. Finishing in 8th place overall was 71 year old Bob Ward, less than a year after suffering serious injuries after being struck by a car while jogging. An amazing comeback.
The Enfield Montessori Race to Feed the Hungry lived up to its billing, as runners and walkers filled boxes of food to donate to those in need. It is hoped that this annual event will continue to grow and make a difference in ending hunger.
