The first Opening Day 5K got off to a great start with 170 runners and walkers crossing the finish line on a beautiful Spring day. John Minervino of Higganum was the overall winner in 19:25 and the first female finisher was Cindy Ouelette from Moosup in 21:20. As usual, the many members of the 169 Society that participated made it an event with their enthusiasm and overall energy.
