On a fine Sunday of 28th June 2015, the Michael E. Walsh Memorial 5K took place. The race held on Rentshler Field, 615 Silver Lane, East Hartford, CT is on the Memory of the Connecticut Runner Michael Walsh . The race was presented by “Medical Oncology and Blood Disorders LLP”. All proceeds benefit FISH ( Friends In Service to Humanity). Earlier at 8.30pm, a fun run held for kids too.
The first one one to finish the race was Julian Saud from Trumbull in a time of 16:40.98 . The first female to finish the race was Ann Shields from Torrington in a time of 19:04.90 which took her to the 7th place overall.The youngest person to finish the race was Jake Duckworth from Monroe in a time of 17:15.29, lead him to Third Overall.
