On Saturday, June 14, the First Annual Run to Remember: Sandy Hook Hi 5K will be held in Dayville, CT.
This 5K race is being held to benefit Sandy Hook Promise, whose mission is to “honor all victims of gun violence by turning the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School into a moment of transformation.”
It is being organized by an enthusiastic and committed group of young ladies who attend Quinebaug Middle College High School, a magnet high school in Danielson, CT.
Course: The race will take place at Owen Bell Park, 580 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT, on the cross country course used by Killingly High School. See a map of Owen Bell Park.
Time: 5K race at 9 AM; kids fun run at 8:30 AM.
Entry: $25 pre-registration; $30 on race day.
T-shirts: Free for the first 75 registered runners and walkers.
Awards: Overall male and female winners, 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

- Download and mail in the application form with a check.
- Day of race registration begins at 7:30 AM.
Results: Results will be posted on coolrunning.com after the race.
